First of all. Sorry to write in English but my Swedish isn't as good so it will be more understandable when I write in english I think.. It would be nice to have an English forum too because it seems that there's lots of info about 300-series here.

Then to the topic.. I have a -87 360GLT Turbo and it currently has no IC. I was wondering that will the standard 200/700/900-series intercooler fit in? What kind of ICs have you fitted in?

A original IC from 700/900 fits in easy, in front of the watercooler. The problem is the space to connect pipes to the IC.

Ason a member of the club lowered the cooler to make way of the ic pipes:


I dont know the name or were the IC are from. Think it is a Audi or SAAB IC. Ask Ason if he pops in. He sold the car last year, so he dont visit this site often.  The car was a killer!

Thanks! Yeah that's what I also thought. My current piping goes at the front of the watercooler and there are holes cut to the metal but I guess that there's a very little chance that those holes would be at the height of standard Volvo IC piping. But it's good to know that the IC itself fits in. Piping can be tinkered to fit. Of course I could buy custom all aluminum IC with piping that fits but then again that would cost something like +300 euros and I'm just a student with a limited budget..

Its looks like it is to high to fit right in.

A saab intercoller is a better choice. You can make room for it inside the engine room and then make a smal scoop on the hood.
